Although I try to keep this blog about IT related issues and chiefly technical issues at that, I thought I'd share the most poignant statement I've read in a while by a user called stuart downie in comments section of this article about the rich on the Beeb:
Define rich. Until I lost my wife of 47 years last year I considered myself rich. Not in the financial sense but in personal happiness and contentment. I live on around £16,000 a year, have savings and no mortgage so compared to a lot of people I am rich but compared to how I felt before my widowhood I feel definitely poorer.
It looks like I've got a bit of dust in my eyes.
